Baby & Toddler Clothing Size Chart by Age, Weight and Height
How to read this baby clothes size chart: find your baby's weight in kg (or lb) and height in cm (or inches) in the table below, then read the US size and the UK label on the same row (if weight and height point to different rows, weight is the more reliable guide). For example, a baby of 7 kg (15.4 lb) and 64 cm (25.2 in) is in the 3–6M row, which UK shops label 3–6 months.
Getting the size right is the easiest way to love what you order. Use this baby and kids clothes size chart to choose by your child's age, weight and height — preemie to 4T. If your little one falls between two rows, size up for a little more room to grow (sleepwear is the exception — see the FAQ below).

Ranges are the median of the published ranges across the brand charts in our 30-brand Size Index 2026 (weight: median lower to median upper, or only the median upper where most charts print no lower limit, as for Preemie; height: from the median top of the size before to the median top of this size; centimetres are the inch values converted and rounded). The UK label column gives the UK age label for the same age range; UK shops size by their own charts, so check the shop's guide. Brands can differ by up to 6 lb on the same label from Preemie to 5T, so check the specific brand's own chart.

12 months size chart (12M)
A 12 months (12M) label is the 9–12M row of the chart: about 9.1–10.7 kg (20–23.5 lb) and 71–76 cm (28–30 in). UK shops label it 9–12 months. For 12M vs 18M on a first birthday, see what size a 1-year-old wears.
18 months size chart (18M)
An 18 months (18M) label is the 12–18M row: about 10.2–12.2 kg (22.5–27 lb) and 76–81 cm (30–32 in). UK shops label it 12–18 months.
24 months size chart (24M)
A 24 months (24M) label is the 18–24M row: about 12.2–13.6 kg (27–30 lb) and 81–86 cm (32–34 in). The next row, 2T, is about 12.8–13.8 kg (28.25–30.5 lb) and 86–90 cm (34–35.6 in); UK shops label it 2–3 years. For the difference, see 24M vs 2T vs 3T explained.
3T and 4T height and weight
3T is about 14.1–15.4 kg (31–34 lb) and 90–98 cm (35.6–38.5 in) on the chart; UK shops label it 3–4 years. 4T follows at about 15.4–17.2 kg (34–38 lb) and 98–105 cm (38.5–41.5 in).

By height alone: up to 44 cm is Preemie, 44–53 cm Newborn, 53–60 cm 0–3M, 60–67 cm 3–6M, 67–71 cm 6–9M, 71–76 cm 9–12M, 76–81 cm 12–18M, 81–86 cm 18–24M, 86–90 cm 2T, 90–98 cm 3T and 98–105 cm 4T. - Height: stand them against a wall, heels flat, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
